With most swim spa models being less than 19ft, they can fit in small spaces and even indoors if maximum privacy is preferred.

How Swim Spas Work

Swim spas are equipped with a built-in current that is powered by propulsion jets. The strength of the current can be adjusted to suit the difficulty level of the swimmer. The swim current keeps swimmers in place as they swim, similar to how a treadmill works for runners so that they do not have to constantly reach the wall and turn around to swim laps. The water in the swim spa can also be adjusted. In the spa section, water temperatures can be set to a hot tub level of 104° F and the water can be turned down to 80° F when working out. Many swim spa models feature a dual temperature option where the spa section can be set to a higher temperature than the swim chamber so that multiple users can enjoy it at once.
